Shoulder pain can arise from conditions such as rotator cuff tears, shoulder impingements and adhesive capsulitis. Untreated, these problems can continue for a long time and lead to greater deconditioning of the muscles around the shoulder and poorer everyday function. Our top tips for shoudler pain are: 1. Confirm the diagnosis, 2. Keep the muscles & Joints working (within comfort), 3. Use suitable medication to aid with pain relief/inflammation.
Our Chelmsford Physio & Fitness team have put together some of their favourite shoulder exercises to help with some of the problems as above.
When ever performing exercises, always start with low intensity and within comfort. Once you become confident with them you can work them muscles and joints harder.
As always, also consultant with a health professional before starting exercise that is new to you.
